Remembering the 6 Million Jews who Perished in the Holocaust. Yom Hashoah, April 12, 2018 (Toronto ON)

On April 12, 2018, Yom Hashoah – a day of remembrance, CSYV welcomed the community at our Holocaust Memorial Site at Earl Bales Park in Toronto, to pay tribute to the 6 million Jews who perished in the Shoah.

The Memorial Flame was lit for 24 hours and we were joined by our National Chair Fran Sonshine, and Michael Levitt, Member of Parliament for York Centre to mark this somber occasion.

Our Board Member Israel Mida recited Kaddish to honour the innocent victims and lighted Yiskor candles.

Our Holocaust Memorial Site commemorates the victims of the Shoah, pays tribute to Survivors, honors “Righteous Among the Nations” and showcases the shattering toll of the Shoah on humanity.
